Volleyball Goes to Florida

Starting the 2019-2020 season off right, our varsity volleyball girls had the chance to experience playing in a tournament in Florida over our nice labor day weekend.

Now, this isn’t an annual tournament that our ladies competed in this last weekend, “This is the first time we’ve gone in 4 years. I think the last time they went was when I was in the 8th grade.” said Kelsey Wiley, a member of our girls varsity team.

Like most teams, working together and gaining a relationship takes the team to another level. When you’re comfortable and enjoy those around you, things always seem to come together, and that’s exactly how it is for our girls.

They’ve gained a bond unlike any other, and “We’re a lot closer than last year” Wiley carried on.

Wiley said, “We had Universal passes and we would spend our time there riding rides, and hanging out together.”

When it got down to the playing part, our girls came together to show everyone how EHS does it. There were multiple schools from all over the country participating in this tournament, and they all had different aspects they provided.

Wiley said “ it’s a treat to us girls to be there, getting a chance to see and experience all the other teams, and we made it to the final 4 which is an accomplishment for us.”

Our girls prepared a lot for this, and they worked on improving their weaknesses so they could come out and do their best, and represent EHS as a whole.
