After early morning practices Thursday February 8th and Friday the 9th, the team brought home  thre title of 7th place  in the nation that weekend.

“Taking 7th in the nation in both competitions was phenomenal,” according to senior Bailee Westbrook.

The week for the team was exhausting.

Practices before and after school and the entire competition taking over the weekend, proved to be a test of discipline for the team.

Even through the uncertainty of it all, they continued to give their best effort. according to the girls.

Senior Cheerleader Chantavia Byrd stated, “We still pushed for a good outcome and it brought us more together as a team,” explains Byrd.

The team left on Friday the 9, and safely returned home on Monday the 12 with pride and joy of their place in the nation.

“ My favorite part was being able to see everyone put their best out on the mat when competing and having this good emotion and feeling,” Byrd.
