Although it may seem like “a small world”, the truth is that the world is only as you perceive it. We are all so consumed in our daily lives that we fail to think about how people all over the world have their own issues. The world is only small if we come to recognize what brings us together. Now more than ever, with the use of technology to communicate to millions, is the time to utilize our resources to share news: good or bad. However, when the credibility of information is questioned or diminished, knowledge is put in jeopardy as society grows to resent details that can help mold the world. The First Amendment administers the importance of free speech, but the significance of simply stating what you want goes is more than legislation. It’s a necessity. The control of the news leads to regression as society lacks originality and knowledge.
