Boys Basketball jumped out to an early lead in the first period and never looked back, defeating Cherokee Trail 65-52

After jumping out to an early 19-6 lead after one period, Varsity Boys Basketball never looked back, maintaining their lead for the entire game, for a final score of 65-52. 

Despite committing nine fouls in the first period alone, the Raptors managed to quickly recover, and they only committed nine fouls for the remainder of the game. 

Sophomore Garret Barger led the team in scoring, with 17 points on the night, and senior DeAndre Brown was second, scoring 15 points. Eaglecrest had a three-point percentage of 33% on the night, which is the exact average across the season.

The team also snagged 37 total offensive and defensive rebounds. Eaglecrest improved to 9-6 on the year, moving into a tie for first place in the Colorado 6A division with Grandview. After a loss to Cherry Creek on Saturday and a win against Smoky Hill on Monday, the Raptors remain tied for 1st in the 6A division with a record of 10-7.
