“When I decided to go to college I chose not to pursue teaching and studied finance instead.  It was a great choice for me at the time as this was where I began to really understand and appreciate economic thinking.  After college, I worked as a bank auditor and then a stock broker.  The money was good but I was not professionally satisfied (I’m not a very good salesman), but what I was really good at was educating people on managing their money.  So, I left the finance world for education and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.”
