The Eagle Quill’s game of the week this week is a home game for the No.1 Eaglecrest Boy’s basketball team (16-3).

The Raptors face off against the No.2 Grandview Wolves (18-1) on Wednesday at 7 P.M. Both teams are currently 9-1 in league play. Eaglecrest’s lone lost coming against the Wolves 67-70. Grandview’s loss was against the Arapahoe Warriors 51-55.

In the first game, the Raptors were up 40-22 at halftime. Colbey Ross and Ikenna Ozor both controlled it. Grandview’s key players Lechaun Duhart and Gaige Prim were close to non existent. In the second half, the Raptors came out flat and Duhart began knocking down shots. It became close late and a key play for the Wolves’ Kain Mack gave the Raptors the loss.

It will be key for the Raptors on Friday to continue the momentum throughout the whole game so that they can come out on top.
