The Eagle Quill game of the week is the Eaglecrest Lady Raptors vs. the Smoky Hill Lady Buffaloes basketball team. This game is at Smoky Hill and will be played at 5:30 P.M.

The ladies will visit a Smoky Hill team who hasn’t one a game all season long and will be looking to get a win against the Lady Raptors. The Raptors will be coming off a game against the Cherry Creek Bruins Wednesday, while the Buffaloes will be coming off a game against Arapahoe.

The Lady Raptors currently have a seven game loosing streak. If not Wednesday, the Friday game against Smoky could change that tone. The ladies are coming off of a tough loss against one of last years final four teams Grandview. Smoky Hill is coming off a 37-81 loss too Mullen.

This will be a huge rivalry game for both schools. The Ladies need a pivotal win to move up in the Centennial League rankings along with 5A rankings.

Raptors Coach Robby Gabrielli is getting impressive play from seniors Samaone Emecheta and Sha’la Wiggins, along with junior Calah Sewell who has really stepped up since freshman Jadyn Ross has gotten injured. The Raptors new found starting lineup will be an important factor to look at in the game against Smoky Hill.

The first battle of the Raptors and the Buffaloes will be a very intriguing match up this Friday.
