Senior Sam Broome prepares for the Fall Festival at the Gourmet Foods booth.

It is that time of year again. The leaves are changing color and students are desperately awaiting fall break. But before fall break, DECA made it their mission to initiate Eaglecrest’s first Fall Festival.

The Fall Festival—an event held in October after the autumn season begins—is intended to bring families and the overall community to Eaglecrest to celebrate the new season. There are games, activities, and perhaps everybody’s favorite, getting candy from the many clubs involved.

From the second the Halloween lit hallway to the main event was opened, DECA welcomed in people of all ages into the crowded cafeteria. The happiness was overwhelming in the transformed Eaglecrest cafeteria, with booths for each club, people dressed in costumes, and even faculty putting aside their daily work to enjoy themselves.

Thirty-six clubs, including Youth Ending Hunger, Student Leadership, National English Honor Society, and dozens of others came to represent themselves and Eaglecrest at the Fall Festival.

Brittny Blechar, the DECA sponsor at Eaglecrest, as well as her talented team of students helped to make this event as large and amazing as it was.

This event successfully brought the community together and gave autumn enjoyment to so many people. For Kelly Snell, Activities Director, she is most excited about t

he stores’ shelves becoming stocked with candy corn and watching football. She isn’t the only one who is excited for fall football, either. Faith Vigil, Social Studies teacher, is tremendously ready for the cool change in weather and also watching football.
Due to the success of this event, Eaglecrest hopes to continue the Fall Festival as an annual event.
