The annual Staff vs. Student basketball game, affectionately monikered “Winter Warmup”, was a success, with the students toppling the staff 26-25. Everett Bible missed a potential game-winning three-pointer in the dying seconds that would have pushed the staff to victory for another consecutive year. In the first half the student team got out to a large lead that shrunk rapidly as time ticked off the clock, which led to Bible’s nail-biting final shot. Following the victory, Senior Yannis Lokakao was named the game’s MVP, and the students were presented with their medals. The students’ victory snapped a staff winning streak and, moving forward, the students look to start a streak of their own.
